Bereavement Counseling

When a loved one expires, mourning is an essential step in the healing process. Bereavement support is available to the family members after the death for 13 months, helping the family through all those painful firsts – the first birthday, holiday, etc.

Chaplaincy and social workers staff support the bereaved to validate the experience of grief, find strength and employ coping skills. Through mailings, phone calls, and referral services to optional community based supports, those who are grieving can access support during their grief journey.
